Fire Destroys Home, Kills Pets: Central Mass Family Asks For Help Rebuilding Their Lives A Uxbridge woman hopes the public will help her rebuild after her family lost everything in a fire on Monday, May 29.  Brianna Watson created a GoFundMe to help replace some of the items lost in the fire, including nearly all of the toys and things that belonged to her three young boys — ages 6, 4, and 1, according to her fundraiser.  So far, the campaign has raised just over $12,000 of its $20,000 goal from more than 150 donors.  Luckily, the family wasn't home when the fire started, she wrote. Wrong-Way Driver From Central Mass Killed In 2-Car Crash On Route 146: Police A wrong-way driver from central Massachusetts was killed in a two-car crash close to the Rhode Island border, authorities said. The 42-year-old man from Douglas died in the crash that happened on Route 146 in Uxbridge around 10:19 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, Massachusetts State Police said.  Initial investigation revealed the man was going the wrong way when he crashed his 2006 Chrysler 300 into a 2019 Mazda CX5 about a half mile from the Rhode Island border.  He sustained serious injuries from the crash and later died at a local hospital, police said. The largest outbreak was recorded in Leominster. From March 4-10, 21 of the school district’s students (15) and staff (6) reported positive cases.
