She Touched Many Lives: Mass Native Dies In New Jersey Car Crash
Stephanie Weymouth, a Wilmington native, is being remembered for her passion for teaching and performing after being killed in a car crash earlier this month in Jersey City. The 31-year-old Bayonne resident was killed Saturday, Feb. 3, in a car crash after the vehicle she was riding in struck the back of a tractor trailer, authorities said. A 2010 graduate of Wilmington High School moved to New Jersey to attend Drew University, graduating in 2014 with a degree in theater arts, and later receiving a master's degree in education, according to her obituary. Services Set For Sylvia Levine, Longtime Springfield Teacher
Sylvia Levine, formerly of Springfield and Longmeadow, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, in Las Vegas. She was 93 years old. Sylvia was born to Samuel Levine and Dinah Lifschitz on November 6, 1930, in Harlem, New York, and was their treasured only child. Yiddish was her first language, and she learned English as she transitioned into Kindergarten. On August 2, 1953, Sylvia married her husband, Theodore “Ted” Levine. Ellen Elizabeth Hilpl, 67, a former Pound Ridge resident and most recently of the Village of Millerton since 2017, died Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at her home in the village. Born May 26, 1955 in Port Chester, NY she was the daughter of the late John E. and Norma Dean (Lasher) Hilpl of Pound Ridge.
