Man Sexually Assaults, Robs Woman, 65, On Walking Trail In Region, Police Say
A Connecticut man is in custody after allegedly throwing a 65-year-old woman down on a hiking trail sexually assaulting her and taking her purse and cell phone before the victim was able to fight him off.
The incident took place in Hartford County in Manchester on Wednesday, Oct. 4 on the hiking trail near Charter Oak Park.
According to Lt. Ryan Shea of the Manchester Police, the woman was walking on the trail when the man, identified as Daquan Clark-Blue, age 30, of Manchester, came up behind her and threw her to the ground.

Joseph Gonzalez, 41, of Springfield, is accused of robbing the Metro PCS on Armory Street just before 12:30 p.m., the Springfield Police Department said. He pulled a knife on a cashier, stole a fistful of cash, then sprinted away, authorities allege.

Suspect Nabbed After Man, Pregnant Woman Shot At Store In Region
Two employees of a Connecticut auto parts store were shot, including a pregnant woman, during a robbery.
The incident took place in Hartford County around 6 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 6 in Newington at the O’Reilly Auto Parts located at 3443 Berlin Turnpike.
According to Sgt. Ryan Deane, of the Newington Police, officers responded to the store for a reported shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located two victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, including the pregnant woman who was shot in shot in the calf and hip as she tried to flee, police said.

Accused Bank Robber Nabbed After Chase, Crash In Region, Police Say
A Connecticut man is behind bars after allegedly holding up a victim at a Webster Bank ATM at gunpoint.
The incident took place in Bristol around 11:20 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 2, at the bank located at 575 Farmington Ave.
According to Lt. Craig O'Connor of the Bristol Police, William Walker, age 31, of Hartford, held the victim at gunpoint and then fled in a dark-colored Honda.
Bristol Police located the vehicle attempting to leave and attempted to stop it before Walker took off taking police on a pursuit, O'Connor said.

A new travel advisory has been issued for Americans who may be planning on heading to Mexico, warning them of "violent crime and kidnapping.”
The US State Department advisory comes after incidents of vandalism, looting, and other crimes in the northern part of the Mexican state of Baja California, including the city of Tijuana, along the southern-most border of California.

A robber ruined National Donut Day at some stores in New England when he allegedly made off with tip jars and cash from multiple shops.
The robber, who wasn't interested in any sweet treats, committed the robberies in the early morning hours at donut shops along Mammoth Road (Route 128) in Massachusetts and New Hampshire beginning before 6 a.m., Friday, June 3.
