Overdose Death Charge: Salem Man Busted After Allegedly Selling Drugs That Killed
A 30-year-old Salem man has been charged with selling the drugs that lead to a fatal overdose, officials announced on Friday, June 30. Ericson Almonte-Rojas was charged with trafficking fentanyl more than 10 grams, unlicensed possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm during a felony, receiving stolen property, and possessing illegal ammunition, the Essex County District Attorney's Office said. Two women face numerous charges after stealing from a mall in New York and then leading authorities on a lengthy chase in a stolen vehicle from Massachusetts, police said. Waltham Teen With Stolen Pistol Arrested Running Away From Gunfire: Police
Police arrested an 18-year-old running with a stolen handgun as he ran away from an area in Boston where shots were fired moments before, authorities said. Timothy Taylor of Waltham was arrested near 925 Parker Street in Jamaica Plain, where several neighbors had called about the gunshots, Boston police said. Police say they found a loaded stolen handgun when they arrested a 19-year-old Boston man following a street fight early Sunday morning, July 31.
