Over $250K Raised For Families Of Deputy, Cop Killed In Shootout On Quiet Suburban NY Street
More than a quarter of a million dollars has been raised to support the families of a police officer and sheriff's deputy killed in a shootout with a suspect who also died on a quiet suburban street in upstate New York earlier this week.
The two officers were Onondaga County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Hoosock, age 37, and Syracuse Police Officer Michael Jensen, age 29.
Hoosock is survived by his wife, Caitlin, and their three young children, ages 7, 5, and 3.

An 18-year-old died after he was stabbed on Monday, Dec. 11, in a Roslindale alleyway, and Boston police are asking the public for help to track down a suspect.
Angel Luis Davila Vega, 18, of Dorchester, was found stabbed in an alley between a home and a Buddhist temple shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Bradeen Street.
He was taken to an area hospital, where he later died, Boston police said.
Police added that a knife was used during the attack, but a weapon had not been found as of Monday night, NBC Boston reported.

Boston Firefighter Accused Of Attacking Elderly Man Outside Faneuil Hall: Report
A Boston firefighter is accused of attacking a 68-year-old man in front of his family outside of a Boston restaurant over the weekend, reports said.
Robert Buckley, age 43, of Plymouth, was ordered held on a $2,000 bail during his arraignment Wednesday afternoon, where he was charged with assault and battery on a person over 60 causing serious bodily injury, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office said.
Buckley, who was later identified as a Boston firefighter, was placed on paid leave pending the outcome of the investigation, MassLive reports.
