A more than week-long search for a wanted Suffolk County man ended with his arrest, officials say. Patrick Mendoza, age 54, of Boston, was arrested on Friday, July 21 for assaulting someone with a gun in Boston on Wednesday, July 12, according to the Boston Police Department. A wanted man assaulted a pair of law enforcement officers and attempted to get others to intervene on his behalf, officials say. Joseph W. Russell, of Weymouth, was arrested on Monday, July 3 after kicking and punching a police officer and a state trooper, sending the state trooper to the hospital, according to the Massachusetts State Police.
