$100K Mass Lottery Ticket Will Expire Soon: Here's What To Look For The Massachusetts State Lottery says a lottery ticket purchased on Jan. 8 will soon expire, leaving $100,000 unclaimed.  The ticket — with the winning numbers 1-5-6-13-29 — was bought at 7-Eleven at 97 Union St. in Easthampton.  State lottery rules allow winners a year to claim their prize money before they are forfeit. Any money below $103,000 can be claimed at any lottery claim center in Braintree, Dorchester (Lottery headquarters), Lawrence, New Bedford, West Springfield, and Worcester.

$1M Lottery Jackpot: Revere Man Wins Massive Windfall A $10-dollar bet made a Revere man a millionaire earlier this month.  Matthew Bender won the seven-figure prize playing the "4,000,000 Mayhem” $10 scratch-off game, according to the state lottery.  Bender took the payment of $650,000 (before taxes) over the annuity.  He bought the ticket at 7-Eleven at 140 Beach St. in Revere. The store will get a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.  Two million-dollar prizes are left, and one $4 million payday remains in the "4,000,000 Mayhem” game.

Police Help Family After Boston 11-Year-Old Breaks Into 7-Eleven For Food An 11-year-old boy and his family are getting the proper help they need after he was caught trying to steal food from a Boston store, authorities said. Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering at the 7-Eleven located at 473 West Broadway Street in South Boston around 4:11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 22, Boston Police said. Upon arrival, the boy told officers he used a hammer to break into the store and "get something to eat." While they did not find any food on the boy, officers contacted his parents who then applied for the appropriate social services.
