Nowon is bringing its truffled rice cakes, tots, fried chicken, and more to Boston’s Seaport District, according to a licensing board hearing scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 31.

A location pin on the spot's Instagram page also reads “Seaport, BOS 2024."

The proposed location of the new restaurant is 117 Seaport Boulevard, Boston Restaurant Talk first reported.

The spot will include a bar and an outdoor patio and also serve burgers, pizza, and kimchi rice as well as beer, wine, and several cocktails.

Nowon already has two locations in Manhattan’s East Village and Bushwick in Brooklyn.

A piece published in The New Yorker described Nowon as having a “legendary cheeseburger” after expanding to its Bushwick location.

One Yelp reviewer raved about Nowon’s menu.

“Excellent meat, done right and then that kimchi sauce addition that gives the kick!” they wrote. “Fantastic totter tots (both kinds are delicious).”

Another gave the restaurant a 9.2 out of 10 rating.

“I mean this was just DELICIOUS.”

The Daily Voice reached out to a Nowon spokesperson, who declined to talk about any plans to expand to Boston.
