1 Dead In Early Morning Cambridge Apartment Fire; 15 Left Homeless One person is dead, and more than a dozen are without homes to begin the new year after an early morning fire in Cambridge burned through an apartment complex, officials said.  The blaze began just after 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2, at a four-story Chester Street apartment building, state fire officials said. Investigators believe the fire started in a second-floor apartment at the front left of the building.  The body of the occupant was found inside. Man Dies A Day After Being Burned In Methuen House Fire: Fire Marshal A man who was hospitalized Friday night, April 14, after a fire broke out in the bedroom of his Methuen home has died, authorities said.  Investigators believe smoking materials sparked the blaze on the third floor of the triple-decker at 97 Phillips St. Officials did not release the man's name.  Methuen fire crews were called to the house just before 6 p.m. and saw smoke billowing from the third floor.
