Injured Mass Man Rescued From Mount Washington After Fall On Hiking Trail Rescuers had to climb up the tallest mountain in New England to save a Massachusetts man who had been injured from a fall, authorities said. The incident happened on Wednesday, Sept. 27 around 2:30 p.m., when 64-year-old Essex County resident Michael Harvey of Methuen was injured while hiking alone with his dog on the Tuckerman Ravine Trail in Sargent’s Purchase, New Hampshire.  According to New Hampshire Fish and Game officials, Harvey had stepped on an unstable rock while descending the summit of Mount Washington, causing him to lose footing and fall.
