Patrick Mulligan, of Weymouth, was pronounced dead at South Shore Hospital following the crash on Route 3 around 6:30 p.m., State Police said.
Police said Mulligan was behind the wheel of a 2008 Altima that rolled over after it struck a GMC pickup truck, troopers said. The truck driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Police are investigating what led up to the crash.
Troopers closed several lanes of Route 3 for two hours as they cleaned, cleared, and investigated the scene.
