Water Main Rupture Rips Up Boston Sidewalk, Floods Multiple Streets A water main ruptured in Boston's Chinatown early Friday morning, Sept. 16, sending torrents of water down several streets and causing morning traffic delays.  The break happened near the intersection of Washington and Kneeland streets near Tufts Medical Center just before 6 a.m., authorities said. Lagrange Street also flooded.  Washington St, Kneeland St, Stuart St, LaGrange St and Beach St are all turning into rivers.
