Suspect Identified In Acton Hit-And-Run That Injured 13-Year-Old Boy: Police

Police have identified a suspect and vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that seriously injured a 13-year-old boy in Action earlier this month, authorities said.

Acton Police and Fire responded to the crash at Great Road near Harris Street around 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, authorities said. Upon arrival officers found the 13-year-old boy suffering from injuries. He was flown to a Boston-area hospital for treatment, authorities said.

Initial investigation suggests the teenager was hit by a car while he was crossing the street on the crosswalk. The involved vehicle is described as a black sedan, possibly a Nissan, authorities said.

After releasing surveillance video of two suspected vehicles from the incident, police have located and taken custody of the vehicle allegedly involved in the crash. Police have also identified a suspect but have yet to take them into custody. 

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Acton Police at 978-264-9638. In addition, a local business owner decided a $5,000 reward to anyone with information.
