Night Shift Brewery, whose main taproom is in Everett, learned their CO2 supply "has been cut for the foreseeable future," the group said on Facebook

"Breweries depend on CO2 to make beer, so this was pretty awful news to get," Night Shift continued. "Seems like this will be an issue that impacts a lot of local breweries, so we're probably one of many breweries facing this new threat to our business."

While the brewery does not expect this to impact their distribution, quality of beer or cause closings, Night Shift said members of their production team could be laid off later this year.

"We have guaranteed that everyone on our production team will get paid through October 1, regardless of whether there's work here or no work," Night Shift said. "After October 1, those employees who no longer have jobs here will be given a severance package that accounts for both their seniority and tenure with the business."

The company also said they will try to help new positions for those employees who were laid off. Night Shift will continue to provide updates as the situation progresses.
