New England Well Represented On List Of States With Longest Daily Commutes In a ranking of states with the most "super commuters,"  Connecticut and Massachusetts made it into the top 10. Super commuters are people who travel 90 minutes or more each workday to and from their place of employment. Connecticut ranked 8th on the list devised by FW Business. About 3.335 percent of Connecticut's commuters spend an hour and a half or more commuting to and from work. This is mostly due to people driving from Connecticut into New York City to work.
