Baby Hospitalized After Baseball Bat Attack Over Boston Road Rage Incident: DA Police say a 66-year-old Malden man with an "extensive" criminal record injured a baby when he smashed in the windows of the car the infant was in with a baseball bat, authorities said Sunday, July 30.  Clifford Jones is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (baseball bat) on a child under 14, malicious destruction of property, possession of a class D substance, selling unstamped cigarettes, and selling cigarettes without a license, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office said. 2 Springfield Firefighters Hurt, 7 People Displaced After 3-Alarm Fire (Update) Two Springfield firefighters were injured battling a three-alarm blaze that displaced seven people from a multi-family home in South End on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 30, authorities said.  The department reported that the fire at  38 Acushnet Ave. began just before 4 p.m. though investigators haven't determined what sparked the blaze.
