Outbreak Of Drug-Resistant 'Superbug' Under Investigation In US An outbreak of Candida auris, a serious fungal infection that is often resistant to multiple antifungal medicines, is being investigated in the United States. The Oregon Health Authority said in a statement on Tuesday, Dec. 28 that three cases of the so-called "Superbug" -- the first-ever in the state's history -- have been detected.
