Woman, 22, Killed In Multi-Car Crash On Mass Turnpike In Central Mass ID'd: Police A 22-year-old woman died after she was involved in a car crash in Worcester County that sprawled into a multi-car wreck on I-90, authorities said.  Claudia Lukas, of Longmeadow, was killed on Wednesday, Nov. 15, in Grafton after her Subaru and a Kia Sorento collided on I-90 and hit a center guardrail, State Police said. The cars came to a stop in the center of the highway and were hit by an oncoming vehicle.  The crashes caused a secondary wreck between two tractor-trailers and a box truck, authorities said. Police Say He Stole From Banks Across Mass Police are asking for the public's help to track down a man they say is behind multiple cases of identity theft and thefts from multiple banks.  Shrewsbury police say he's stolen money from UniBank and Rockland Trust, but they have reports of a man matching his description pulling similar scams in Worcester, Milford, Grafton, Quincy, and Braintree.  The suspect wore the same baby blue long-sleeve shirt and aqua blue scaly cap with sunglasses on top during each incident. Massachusetts Man Admits To Purchasing MBTA Passes Using Others' Identities A Massachusetts man pleaded guilty to charges of wire fraud and aggravated identity theft in connection with using stolen identities to fraudulently purchase more than $150,000 in MBTA passes. Kokou Kuakumensah, age 31, of Worcester, pleaded guilty on Thursday, July 22, to one count of wire fraud and four counts of aggravated identity theft, said the U.S. Attorney's Office. Covid-19: Virus Outbreaks Recorded In 11 School Districts Last Week This past week, 11 Massachusetts public schools experienced COVID-19 outbreaks of 9 or more students and staff coming down with the virus. The largest outbreak was recorded in Leominster. From March 4-10, 21 of the school district’s students (15) and staff (6) reported positive cases. The Massachusetts Department of Secondary and Elementary Education produces weekly reports on positive COVID-19 cases reported in each school district. More than 30 police cruisers lit up the area across the street for the hospital’s Bright Lights event on Sept. 30. Brote, 66, of Sutton, died in the excavator accident on Leland Hill Road, according to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette. He owned his own truck and auto repair service - B&P Auto Services on Millbury Street in Worcester - for nearly 40 years. Brote was an avid antique engine collector, his obituary said. Cold Case: Body Exhumed In Relation To Missing 10-Year-Old Girl Law enforcement officials exhumed a body this week as part of a cold case investigation into a missing 10-year-old girl. Holly Piirainen, 10, of Grafton, was killed in the summer fo 1993. She was kidnapped from Sturbridge on Aug. 5 while visiting her grandparents. Police said her remains were discovered in Brimfield by two hunters in about two months after her death. It is not clear whose body was exhumed in Sturbridge sometime during the week of Sept.
