Hallie Kyed put up a valiant fight, but after a nearly yearlong battle with cancer, the 2-year-old daughter of the Patriots reporter for the Boston Herald has died, her father announced on Instagram.
Hallie was diagnosed in April 2023 with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, an aggressive type of cancer that attacks bone marrow, a GoFundMe campaign set up for her said. She died in her sleep Sunday night, Jan. 21, her father, Doug Kyed, announced on social media.
Doug said despite the dire prognosis, Hallie never gave up the fight, her big dreams, or her bright smile.

Robert “Bobby” Giardino, 18, died Wednesday night, Dec. 6, after the pickup truck he was driving with three teens veered off the road into the woods, hit several trees, and rolled onto its roof, MassLive reported.
Besides Giardino, another 18-year-old, and two 17-year-olds were rushed to local hospitals. Officials have not released their names or conditions.

The Norfolk County community is pouring out donations to help the family of a man who died in a tragic three-car crash.
Randall Ricketts, age 58, of Foxborough, died on Monday, Aug. 29 in a three-car hit-and-run crash on Route 95 in North Attleborough, according to the Massachusetts State Police. A man from Cranston, Rhode Island, Joseph Pompei Jr., was later arrested in relation to the crash.

Vincent Parr, of Lawrence, died on Sunday, Aug. 20, after jumping into the Swift River in Albany, New Hampshire, to save his wife and her child who got stuck in a part of the river with fast-moving water, according to New Hampshire State Police and a GoFundMe for Parr's funeral expenses. Melissa Bagley, a 44-year-old woman married to Everett police lieutenant Sean Bagley, died on Tuesday, Aug. 15, after she jumped into a fast-moving body of water at Franconia Falls in Lincoln, New Hampshire, to save her son, as reported by Daily Voice.
