Travelers Slam DMV Airports On Twitter Amid Flight Delays, Cancelations
Stormy weather and widespread ground stop issues grounded hundreds of flights at Washington DC area airports Monday, June — and travelers were not happy. At Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport Monday, 263 flights were delayed and just over 100 were canceled, according to FlightAware. Frontier Adds Another New Nonstop Flight From

Frontier Airlines is adding a new nonstop flight to Dallas-Forth Worth from Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, reports WBAL TV. The addition is the eighth destination for the airline from the Baltimore area airport, and one of many new flights added to BWI this year. The Baltimore/Washington International Airport has ranked as the second worst airport in the nation for flight delays this past summer, according to WBAL reports. Airport data collected from FlightAware showed the airport to rank just below Chicago Midway International Airport for the highest percentages of delays, with a total percentage of flight delays for the Baltimore airport being 32.5% over the summer, the outlet continues. Passengers of the first ever seaplane to DC can cut travel time by up to 60 percent, according to Tailwind Air. As of Tuesday, Sept. 13, tickets for this plane will start at $345 and flights take off six days a week, up to twice a day, the website said. "Travelers may now enjoy a nonstop seaplane flight directly from Manhattan’s Skyport Marina at East 23rd Street to Washington, DC’s College Park Airport.
