Hit-Run Driver At Large After Killing Pedestrian In Cheverly On New Year's Day A hit-and-run driver remains at large after a Maryland crash that claimed the life of a pedestrian on New Year’s Day. Prince George’s County Police responded to the crash near Landover Road and Neighbor Lane and found an unresponsive man in the roadway around 8:45 p.m. on Monday night, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene and has not been identified. Investigators believe the driver was heading northbound on Landover Road before fatally striking the man and speeding off. Shortly before 5:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, troopers from the Maryland State Police Forestville Barrack were called to the intersection of Central Avenue and Enterprise Road in Bowie, where there was a report of a pedestrian that had been struck in the roadway by a passing Hyundai. Woman Dies In Baltimore Hit-Run Crash A 65-year-old woman died in a hit-and-run crash in Baltimore Wednesday, July 6, authorities said. The victim was crossing on the 2000 block of North Broadway with a walker when she was struck around 2:50 p.m. city police said.  She was unresponsive when police arrived and taken to John’s Hopkins Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The vehicle fled the area southbound on North Broadway. C.R.A.S.H. Team investigators have assumed control over the investigation.
