Two suspects have been charged - and a third is in custody - in connection to the armed robbery in Prince George's County on Thursday that led to an officer-involved shooting in the parking lot of a District Heights shopping center. Son Accused Of Murdering 81-Year-Old Mother During Dispute In District Heights Home: Police
A Maryland man has been accused of killing his 81-year-old mother during an argument over the weekend. Mark Terry, 45, of District Heights, was charged with first- and second-degree murder and other offenses, the Prince George’s County Police Homicide Unit said in a release on Tuesday, Jan. 16. Officers responded to the mother and son’s shared home on the 2000 block of Brooks Drive around 8 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 14 and found 81-year-old Madia Terry unresponsive in the living room with bruising and other signs of trauma, investigators said. Police say that a man who was caught red-handed in the lobby of a Maryland apartment building while brandishing a sword is facing multiple murder charges for allegedly killing someone who lived in the same District Heights complex. Aaron Bynum, 33, has been charged with first-degree and second-degree murder for his alleged role in the death of 63-year-old neighbor Anthony Cunningham over the holiday weekend. Here's When New Wawa Store Is Coming To District Heights
Three new Wawa stores are headed to Maryland, with two set to open up in the coming weeks. The popular food market and gas station will open up two locations this spring and another this summer. A store on Baltimore Avenue in College Park as well as a store on Brooks Drive in District Heights will open to customers in the coming weeks, according to Wawa. Police ID Passenger Killed In Prince George's County After Driver Struck Multiple Vehicles
Police have identified the Oxon Hill man killed in a District Heights crash earlier this month, authorities say. Corey Forrest, 48, was a passenger in the vehicle that crashed in a parking lot on Pennsylvania Avenue near Brooks Drive, on the night of Friday, July 15, according to Prince George's County police. The vehicle that Forrest was traveling in left the roadway for unknown reasons and entered the parking lot, striking multiple parked vehicles before coming to a stop.
