Pedestrian Killed On I-270 Leads To Lane Closures In Montgomery County A pedestrian walking along I-270 in Montgomery County was killed after being struck by a vehicle when they entered the roadway on Friday morning, officials say. At approximately 5:40 a.m. on April 19, first responders were called to a stretch of the interstate between exits 8 and 9 to investigate the fatal crash. The Montgomery County police officer was heading west in his marked patrol car when he was struck by a motorcyclist traveling at a "high rate of speed" around 7:30 p.m., MoCo Police Spokeswoman Shiera Goff said.
