A 23-year-old man in Montgomery County was arrested after doing too much tricking and not enough treating on Halloween night. Officers from the Rockville Police Department were called shortly before 8 p.m. on Tuesday night to a home in the unit block of Pebble Ridge Court, where a strange - and scary - scene played out involving an active armed robber who forced his way inside. Driver Trapped, Charged After Crashing Pick-Up Into Rockville Home
A 67-year-old man was hospitalized in Montgomery County after losing control and smashing through the front of a Rockville home. Early on Thursday morning, officers from the Rockville Police Department were called to the 2200 block of McAuliffe Drive, when a driver crashed a Ford pick-up truck into the residence, causing extensive damage. The man - who is not the homeowner - was temporarily trapped in the vehicle and was later taken to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries. A beloved former member of the Rockville Police Department has passed away, announced officials. Former Lieutenant Alan Rawlins died in the early morning morning hours of Wednesday, Oct. 5, according to the Rockville Police Department. Rawlins serviced with the RCPD for 27 years, from April 1986 until July 2013. Even after his retirement, he remained a friend and devoted member of the Rockville community. Senior Citizen In Maryland Rescued After Fall In Home Left Her Paralyzed For Days
A Rockville woman who had fallen in her home was rescued after being unable to move for four days, according to police. The unnamed senior citizen had fallen and was conscious but in distress for several days, Rockville Police said. Mail was piling up on her door and she was unresponsive to knocks. Rockville Police Officer Tyler Haines was contacted by the Rockville Senior Center and made entry into the home where he found the woman paralyzed on the floor. After days of being unable to eat or bathe she was transported to a nearby hospital where she was able to recover from her injuries. …
