Rene Rivas Quinteros, 45, from Winchester, Virginia was killed when the vehicle he was in struck a tree on the 28540 block of Ridge Road around 8:15 a.m., Saturday, June 18, according to Montgomery County Police.
The driver of the 2007 Toyota Camry was traveling southbound when it crossed the northbound lanes, leaving the roadway and hitting the tree for unknown reasons.
Quinteros was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the Toyota Camry sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate this collision. Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to contact CRU detectives at 240-773-6620.
