Muhammed Ekinci, 20, who hails from the country of Turkey, has been identified by Maryland State Police investigators as the person riding an electric scooter who was struck by a Ford Fusion early on Monday, Sept. 11. Case Of Boy's Ocean City Hit-Run Death Cracked
Ten months after a 14-year-old boy was struck and killed in Ocean City, a defendant has been charged. Tyler Mailloux, 22, of Berlin, is facing more than a dozen charges out of Worcester County in the July 2022 hit-and-run death of Gavin Knupp on Grays Corner Road while walking to his sister's car. Gavin was pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver, later identified as Mailloux, did not stop and also did not report the incident, authorities said. An investigation has been launched by Maryland State Police following a fatal two-vehicle crash on Tuesday night. Chauncey McKinley Johnson, 54, of Stockton, was killed after being struck by a box truck that shut down Route 113 in Berlin for several hours, according to a state police spokesperson.
