Elkton resident Ryan McCool, 41, was arrested by members of the Newark Police Department on gun and drug charges after being arrested while attempting to provide officers with a fake name. Officers were called to a hotel in the 1100 block of South College Avenue to conduct a welfare check of a person at the hotel.
