Maryland Couple Killed In NJ Crash An elderly pair from Maryland was killed in a crash Tuesday evening, June 13 in Highland Park, authorities said. A Mercedes driven by Abeer Viriani, 34, of Iselin, struck a Subaru occupied by Peter Palmer, 75, of Easton, MD, and Carol Paul, 77, of Easton, MD, around 5:30 p.m. at Route 27 and North 10 Street, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. Both Palmer and Paul were pronounced dead at the scene. Viriani also struck a Hyundai Elantra, the driver of which sustained minor injuries.
