Forest Hill resident William Daniel Wagoner, 47, was driving at approximately 11:10 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29 on South Fountain Green Road in Bel Air on Thursday when he lost control near Foxborough Road.

According to officials, Wagoner was traveling north in a 2001 Honda Civic on South Fountain Green Road when he drove off the roadway for unexplained reasons, over the shoulder, and struck a curb.

Police say that the Honda continued across the front lawn of a home in the 800 block of South Fountain Green Road before crashing into the guide wires from a utility pole, which forced the car to overturn before it struck a Ford F250 parked in the driveway of the residence.

Wagoner was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
