A Washington D.C. man wanted in connection to a fatal shooting inside of a Hyattsville mall has been taken into custody, authorities announce. Stephon Edward Jones has been charged with the murder of Darrion Herring, 20, after shooting him in the food court of the mall in the 3500 block of East-West Highway on Thursday, Aug. 18, according to Prince George's County police. The US Marshals Service has joined the search for a Washington, DC man wanted in connection to a fatal shooting at a Maryland mall over the summer. Stephon Edwards Jones, 33, has been charged with the murder of 20-year-old Hyattsville Darrion Herring in a shooting in the food court of the Mall at Prince George’s, according to police. Police ID Woman Struck, Killed By Car In Maryland
The victim who was fatally struck by a vehicle in Chillum has been identified as a Hyattsville woman, authorities said. Maria Quinteros, 57, was struck by a SUV heading eastbound on East-West Highway near Riggs Road around 9 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, according to the Prince George's Police Department. Police arrived to find Quinteros in the roadway and she was subsequently transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
