Months after a 21-year-old man was found suffering from gunshot wounds in Eastern Baltimore, police say that they have apprehended a suspected shooter who was arrested for attempted murder. City resident Isiah Peay, has been arrested and charged in connection to the shooting of his victim in May 2023, the Baltimore Police Department announced on Tuesday. Adult, Child Killed In Multi-Vehicle Baltimore Crash: Police
An adult and a child were killed in an early morning crash in Baltimore’s Eastern District on Wednesday, Feb. 21, police confirmed. The crash occurred near the 3500 block of Belair Road around 7:30 a.m., a representative with the Baltimore Police Department told Daily Voice. Officers arrived and found a child dead at the scene. A second victim was found trapped inside of a vehicle and later pronounced deceased. Investigators believe speed to be a factor in the crash. The investigation is being led by Crash Team detectives. No further details were released.

The sticky-fingered Baltimore Police officer who was caught stealing from a business while on the job has been convicted of abusing his powers, authorities announced. Officer Eric Payton was convicted this week in a bench trial for misconduct in office and theft of between $100 and $1,500, after stealing from a business while on the job. A 23-year-old with a checkered criminal history will spend time behind bars after being busted on weapons charges. Baltimore resident Tavion Thomas, a convicted felon, has been sentenced to 33 months in prison after he was caught with a pair of loaded weapons by police investigating a separate incident, federal authorities announced. More than four years after a Morgan State College basketball player and Maryland high school standout was gunned down getting into her car, police in Baltimore County say that they have identified a suspect who has been taken into custody. On Sept. 6, 2018, 25-year-old Tracey Carrington was getting into a vehicle in the unit block of West Overlea Avenue when she was shot multiple times by an assailant later identified as Kenneth Davis.
