At approximately 8:35 a.m. on Sunday, June 4, members of the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office were called to investigate a triple fatal at the Union Bridge Quarry, where there was a violent crash with three victims involved, including Kortney Angleberger, 28, of Keymar, and Dickerson resident Rachel Willis, 23.

A veteran police officer in Maryland died when he accidentally rear-ended a box truck this week in Queen Anne's County, authorities said.
Sam Ferracane, 53, who worked for the Federalsburg and more recently the Centreville police departments, died when he rear-ended the vehicle at a light on Queen Anne Highway around 9 a.m. Monday, May 22, State Police said.

Support is swelling for the family of a father of two who was at the wrong place at the wrong time when he was shot and killed in a grisly murder-suicide involving a husband and wife in Maryland.
Annapolis native George Michael Petrullo, 38, was murdered in a triple shooting on Friday, May 5 in the area of the Holiday Inn Express in the 2100 block of Somerville Road.
The shooter, George Edward Huff, 42, of Riva, shot his wife Alexandra Abbott Huff, 34, then Petrullo, before turning the gun on himself in the parking lot of the hotel.

Beloved Baltimore County teacher assistant Hannah Strehlein lost her incredibly brave battle with cancer on Wednesday, April 26 at age 20.
