Shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 25, Baltimore City Police officers were called to an apartment complex in the 300 block of West Franklin Street, where there was a reported incident that required investigation.
Upon arrival, officers found a 26-year-old woman who had signs of blunt-force trauma, police say. Her body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to identify the woman and determine the exact cause and manner of death.
According to investigators, a missing person's call had been placed shortly before the woman was found dead.
She has not been identified by the department. It is now being investigated by homicide detectives. No information about a possible suspect was released.
