Police Probe Armed Carjacking In Glen Burnie Police are investigating a gunpoint carjacking that occurred in Anne Arundel County on Thursday night. It happened near the 300 block of Crain Highway in Glen Burnie around 10:15 p.m., AACPD said. A 24-year-old woman was exiting her gray 2008 Infiniti when she was approached by two male suspects, one of whom displayed a handgun and demanded the keys. Both suspects then fled in the stolen vehicle. No injuries were reported during the incident, police added. Both suspects were wearing all-black clothing during the incident, police said. Police said Shane McGovern, 27, was behind an assault that occurred in the 800 block of Crain Highway in Glen Burnie on around 12:30 a.m. on Monday, May 23, Anne Arundel County Police said.  McGovern allegedly hit the victim after forcing his way into the home and destroying their property, police said. McGovern was said to have known the victim as well.  The victim fled the home before police arrived. McGovern was arrested and charged accordingly.
