Man Rescued After Crashing 60 Feet Down Into Rocky Embankment In Cold Spring A man had to be carried around 60 feet up a rocky Hudson Valley gorge after crashing into it, authorities said. The crash happened in Putnam County on Sunday, Oct. 6, when an all-terrain vehicle crashed down a cliff in Cold Spring at the gorge on Mill Road, according to the North Highlands Fire Department. Car Rolls Down Hill Into Building, Ditch In Mount Kisco A building in Northern Westchester was damaged after a car rolled down a hill and crashed into it before ending up in a ditch.  The crash happened on Friday, Oct. 4 in Mount Kisco, when an unattended vehicle rolled through a grass field, through a garden, and into the corner of a garage on Brookside Avenue, according to Independent Fire Co. #13 of the Mount Kisco Fire Department. After hitting the garage, the car then rolled down an embankment, firefighters said. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was later towed away and the area was cordoned off.

Police Holding Training Exercise At Putnam Hospital Center: 'No Cause For Alarm' A day-long increase in police presence at a Hudson Valley hospital is only a drill, authorities announced.  A training exercise is being held at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel on Tuesday, Oct. 8 until 2 p.m., the Carmel Police Department announced.
