‘My Mom Was Robbed!’ Paramus Man's Bogus Claim On Ring App Racks Up Charges, Cops Say
A Paramus man is facing charges after police say he posted a fake armed robbery report that sparked panic and led to an urgent police response months ago.
Dahshan J. Mansour, 26, of Paramus, fabricated a robbery story and shared it on the Ring Doorbell Neighbors App on Sept. 4, 2024, Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti said.
Mansour’s post, titled “My mom was robbed at gunpoint for her car!”, claimed his mother had been held up in their driveway in broad daylight. He wrote that suspects stole her phone, car keys, and house keys, according to police.
