Man Tried Abducting Young Girl In Maurice Twp, State Police Seek Help Identifying Suspect The New Jersey State Police is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an attempted abduction of a young girl. According to police, the incident occurred on Sunday, Jan. 12 at approximately 11:30 a.m. outside a home near the intersection of State Highway 47 and Main Street in Maurice River Township in Cumberland County. An unknown male suspect tried to abduct a young girl, authorities said.
