A 29-year-old Hasbrouck Heights man was arrested Friday, Jan. 3 after fleeing from police and crashing a Mercedes SUV into a utility pole near an elementary school, police said. A former Connecticut dispatcher was shot and killed by San Francisco police after chasing down a bicyclist and injuring pedestrians in a hit-and-run rampage, authorities said. Newly-released bodycam footage shows the Dec. 19, 2024 incident that left 50-year-old Peter Hodge dead.
