Why Massachusetts, Connecticut, Several Others Are Skipping Trump's Great American State Fair
Connecticut and Massachusetts are among at least eight states that will not participate in the Great American State Fair, a centerpiece event in President Donald Trump's celebrations of America's 250th anniversary.
The fair is scheduled to run from June 25 through July 10 on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., with organizers originally envisioning participation from all 50 states and U.S. territories. Instead, Connecticut, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Oregon, and Washington have opted out, according to Yahoo News.
