Crash Shuts Down Roadway Near Blind Brook High School In Rye Brook: Developing A busy road near a Westchester County high school is closed following a multi-car crash, authorities announced.  King Street in Rye Brook is currently closed in both directions between Hillandale Road and Glenville Street, the Rye Brook Police Department announced on Wednesday, Oct. 23 around 11 a.m.  The crash happened near Blind Brook High School and will likely cause the road to be closed for "an extended period of time," according to the Port Chester Fire Department. Man Accused Of Threatening People At Basketball Game At Sports Club In Yorktown A 44-year-old man was criminally charged after threatening people at a basketball game held at a Northern Westchester sports club, police said. Pelham resident Joseph Francis III was arrested on Sunday, Oct. 20 following an incident at the Solaris Sports Club in Yorktown at 201 Veterans Rd., Yorktown Police announced on Wednesday, Oct. 23.  According to the department, just before 7 p.m., multiple callers told police that a man was screaming at people and threatening them at a basketball game held at the club. Winning Powerball Ticket Worth $50K Sold At This White Plains Gas Station A visitor to a Westchester gas station walked away with a lottery ticket worth tens of thousands of dollars.  The third-prize-winning Powerball ticket, worth $50,000, was sold in White Plains for the drawing on Monday, Oct. 21, New York Lottery officials announced.  Officials added that the ticket was purchased at a Gulf gas station at 750 North Broadway (Route 22).
