Mark Brown was found unresponsive in the driver's seat of the vehicle by police responding to reports of shots fired around 9:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18 at Southeast Boulevard between Sherman and Grant avenues, the prosecutor's office said. Glen Rock officers were called to the Bottle King on Prospect Street around 8:50 p.m. on Oct. 16 on reports that a male went into the store with a shopping cart, loaded $1,020.47 into the cart, then wheeled it out without paying, police said. The man's identity is unknown and Glen Rock detectives are investigating.
