Pedestrian Struck By Train In Newark A New Jersey Transit train struck and injured a man in Newark Wednesday night, Dec. 18, rail officials confirmed. The incident occurred at approximately 7:18 p.m. when Gladstone branch train 439, which had departed Hoboken at 6:48 p.m., was en route to its final destination in Gladstone, according to NJ Transit.
