A jury convicted a Connecticut man of manslaughter after prosecutors said he drove drunk and reached 86 mph moments before a crash that killed a West Haven man, prosecutors said.
A jury found Joseph Duarte, 54, guilty on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, of second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle, misconduct with a motor vehicle, and driving under the influence, according to New Haven Judicial District State’s Attorney John P. Doyle, Jr.
