Farmington Driver Dies After Vehicle Strikes Exit Sign Support, Flips On I-84 In New Britain
An 85-year-old driver died after his vehicle ran off Interstate 84 and overturned near an exit. Abbott Schultz Jr. of Farmington was traveling west near Exit 36 in New Britain when the crash happened Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 8, Connecticut State Police said. Schultz’s vehicle left the highway and broke through a support post for the Exit 36 sign. It then flipped and stopped on its roof past the guardrail. A man and a woman were found dead inside a Connecticut home on Tuesday, Sept. 8. Officers were called to their Enfield home in the 100 block of Foxhill Lane for reports of an unresponsive man, police said. Rocky Hill Volleyball Coach Charged With DUI After Fatal Pedestrian Crash
A Connecticut high school volleyball coach has been charged with DUI after police said she struck and killed a 65-year-old pedestrian during Labor Day weekend. Sarah Bezdelovs, 23, of Rocky Hill, was identified as the driver in the crash that killed Miguel A. Collado Almonte around 8:45 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, on Glastonbury Avenue in Rocky Hill, police said.
