CT Highway Reopens After 3-Car Crash, Fire; 2 Hurt: Firefighters The Merritt Parkway was temporarily shut down on Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 19, after a three-car pile-up sparked a truck fire and sent two to the hospital, authorities said.  Norwalk firefighters were called to the Merritt Parkway between northbound exits 38 to 40 for the multiple-car crash just after noon. Officials said one truck was fully engulfed in flames when responders arrived with two other cars sustaining damage in the blaze.
