Two men wanted for an armed robbery in one Western Massachusetts city thought they would get by with all the police attention on the election polls – they thought wrong.
Eric Fontanez, age 52, of New York, and Jesus Marrero, age 56, of Holyoke, were arrested for the robbery that happened at the South Street Racing Mart in Holyoke on Sunday, Nov. 6, Holyoke Police said on Facebook.

Man, Woman Accused Of Robbing Victim Of Pair Of Shoes In CT At Gunpoint
Two Connecticut residents were charged with allegedly robbing a victim of a pair of shoes at gunpoint.
The incident took place in Middlesex County on Sunday, Oct. 9, in the parking lot of River Centre Plaza in Cromwell.
According to Capt. Frederick Sifodaskalakis of the Cromwell Police, police responded to 77 Berlin Road at the plaza for a report of an armed robbery in the parking lot.
When officers arrived, the victim met with the suspects, identified as Julio Oquendo, age 20, and Carmen Rogers, age 21, both of Middletown, to sell them a pair of shoes, Sifodaskalakis said.&…

Investigators are searching for a suspect who is accused of robbing a Connecticut gas station at gunpoint.
Troopers in New London County responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Best Way/Citgo gas station, located at 37 Norwich-Westerly Road in Preston, at about 4:20 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19, according to Connecticut State Police.
