A Connecticut man who owned and operated a Danbury daycare and preschool has pleaded guilty to a federal tax crime tied to nearly $640,000 in unpaid employment taxes, authorities said. Thomas Walker, 63, of Ridgefield, waived his right to be indicted and pleaded guilty last week to willful failure to account for and pay over employment taxes, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Connecticut.
