Car Fire At Railroad Crossing Causes Metro-North Delays In North White Plains A car fire at a Northern Westchester railroad crossing is causing severe delays on a Metro-North line.  The blaze happened on Thursday morning, Nov. 7 at the Virginia Road crossing in the North Castle hamlet of North White Plains, an MTA spokesperson said just before 11 a.m.  The incident is now causing "severe delays" of 85 minutes on the Harlem Line, the spokesperson added.  Metro-North will be arranging a substitute bus service, officials announced in a post on X.  More information about the fire has not yet been released.
