Police Seeking Witnesses In Deadly Route 36 Pedestrian Crash Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have seen a 60-year-old man just before he was struck and killed along Route 36 last week. Dennis Bannon, of Leonardo, was found lying in the roadway after being struck by a vehicle near Navy Weapons Station Earle around 8:05 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18 in Middletown, Deputy Police Chief Paul Bailey said. Bannon had been walking on the roadway prior to the crash, Bailey said. The driver was cooperative with police during the investigation. Nutley Wrestling Community Embraces High School Grappler After Dad Marc DellaVolpe's Death Nutley's wrestling community is mourning the loss of Marc DellaVolpe, who is being widely remembered as one of the most passionate, supportive, and knowledgeable parents on the sidelines. DellaVolpe, 47, of Nutley, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 17. "He was very supportive of his son, Louis, and traveled all over the place [for his matches]," said 10-year Nutley youth wrestling coach Michael Blanchard. Man Asked To Stop Smoking Threatens To 'Shoot Up' Hudson Regional Hospital: Police A 47-year-old Brooklyn, NY man is facing charges out of Hudson County for an incident that unfolded when he was asked to stop smoking at a hospital, police said. Driver, 30, Killed, Passenger Wounded In Vineland Shooting: Prosecutor A 30-year-old driver was killed and his passenger injured in a Vineland shooting over the weekend, authorities said. Mark Brown was found unresponsive in the driver's seat of the vehicle by police responding to reports of shots fired around 9:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18 at Southeast Boulevard between Sherman and Grant avenues, the prosecutor's office said. Who Stole $1,000 Worth Of Booze From Glen Rock Bottle King? Police are investigating the theft of more than $1,000 in alcohol from a Bergen County Bottle King store. Glen Rock officers were called to the Bottle King on Prospect Street around 8:50 p.m. on Oct. 16 on reports that a male went into the store with a shopping cart, loaded $1,020.47 into the cart, then wheeled it out without paying, police said. The man's identity is unknown and Glen Rock detectives are investigating.

Sanitation Worker, 23, Was Transferring Trash When He Was Struck, Killed In Tenafly: Cops Police in Tenafly have released details in the crash that killed a 23-year-old sanitation worker from North Arlington Monday morning, Oct. 21. The garbage truck was parked along the northbound curb of County Road when the vehicle was struck by a northbound tractor-trailer just before 7 a.m., Tenafly Police Capt. Michael deMoncada said. Officer Involved Shooting Leaves Man Dead In Browns Mills: AG The New Jersey Attorney General's Office is investigating a police-involved shooting that left a citizen dead on Saturday, Oct. 19, the office said. The incident occurred in Browns Mills in Pemberton Township (Burlington County), the AG's office said Sunday morning, Oct. 20. The man's identity was not being released as of press time.
