Couples in New York expect the most expensive gifts in the U.S. at an average of $204.60 per guest, according to the study by fine jewelry brand Shane Co. The survey, based on responses from more than 3,000 Americans, also highlights regional trends in gift expectations, budgets, and wedding traditions. Secretary Stole $40K From CT High School For Amazon Shopping Sprees: Cops Police are accusing a secretary at a Connecticut high school of using the administration's Amazon account to spend more than $40,000 over five years on gifts for herself and other employees at the Tolland County school, authorities said.  Christine Vardanian, age 56, of Marlborough in Hartford County, is charged with first-degree larceny, Connecticut State Police said on Wednesday, Oct. 23. Police Seek Jewelry Owner Following Vandalism at CT Cemetery Police in Connecticut are seeking the owner of a piece of jewelry stolen by a juvenile who allegedly vandalized a cemetery, taking items from the gravesites. The incident occurred in Windham County on Sunday, July 14, at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Killingly. According to Connecticut State Police, troopers and Killingly Police responded to the cemetery on Maple Street after receiving a report of criminal mischief.
