A 21-year-old Connecticut man died after being pulled from a reservoir designated not for swimming. The incident occurred in New Haven County on Thursday, June 20, at the Seymour Reservoir No. 2 in Oxford. According to Will Healey, spokesman for the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, DEEP Environmental Conservation (EnCon) Police, along with Oxford Police, Oxford Fire, and the Region 5 Dive Team, responded to a report of a swimmer who went underwater and did not resurface at the reservoir. A former police officer and fire chief has been charged with sexual assault in connection with an incident that happened at a Connecticut boat launch, officials announced. Fatal Fall: Man, 25, Found Dead At Popular State Park
Officials are investigating after a 25-year-old man was found dead after falling at a popular state park in Connecticut. The incident took place in New Haven County around 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 at West Rock Ridge State Park in Hamden. Environmental Conservation Police responded to the park after receiving a report of a fall victim from the Hamden Police, a spokesman for the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said. A 21-year-old man who was pulled unresponsive from a popular Connecticut lake was pronounced dead at an area hospital. The incident took place in Middlesex County at Pattaconk Lake in the town of Chester on Sunday, July 17.
